Analisis Kesulitan Mempelajari Materi Limit Fungsi Siswa Kelas Xi Ipa Sman 1 Tambangan 2022/2023

This research aims to analyze the difficulties faced by students of class XI IPA SMAN 1 Tambangan in learning the material of function limits. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results show that students experience various difficulties in understanding the material of function limits, including shallow conceptual understanding, lack of problem-solving skills, and confusion in applying limit concepts in different contexts. Factors causing students' learning difficulties include lack of understanding of previous concepts, ineffective learning approaches, and inadequate resources and teaching materials. Based on these findings, it is recommended that mathematics teachers use more interactive and in-depth learning approaches, provide varied and relevant teaching materials, and provide intensive guidance to students in understanding the concept of function limits. Curriculum development and teacher competency improvement are also needed to enhance the effectiveness of teaching this material in the future.
Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan yang dihadapi siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Tambangan dalam mempelajari materi limit fungsi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami berbagai kesulitan dalam memahami materi limit fungsi, termasuk pemahaman konsep yang kurang mendalam, kurangnya keterampilan pemecahan masalah, dan kebingungan dalam menerapkan konsep limit dalam konteks yang berbeda. Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar siswa meliputi kurangnya pemahaman konsep sebelumnya, pendekatan pembelajaran yang kurang efektif, serta kurangnya sumber daya dan bahan ajar yang memadai. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disarankan agar guru matematika menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan mendalam, menyediakan bahan ajar yang variatif dan relevan, serta memberikan bimbingan yang intensif kepada siswa dalam memahami konsep limit fungsi. Pengembangan kurikulum dan peningkatan kompetensi guru juga diperlukan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran materi tersebut di masa depan.
