Social media has become a global phenomenon that dominates people's daily lives. It is not only used for communication and interaction with friends and family, but it has also entered the world of education. This article aims to analyze the impact of social media usage in the learning process at schools. The study involves literature research and empirical data to identify the benefits and challenges of using social media in an educational context. This research found that the use of social media in the learning process at schools can have significant positive and negative impacts. However, with proper management and effective strategies, the benefits can be enhanced, and the challenges can be overcome. This study also provides practical recommendations for educators and educational institutions in integrating social media in school learning.
Abstrak
Media sosial telah menjadi fenomena global yang mendominasi kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat. Tidak hanya digunakan untuk berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi dengan teman dan keluarga, tetapi juga telah memasuki dunia pendidikan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media sosial dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Studi ini melibatkan penelitian literatur dan data empiris untuk mengidentifikasi manfaat dan tantangan penggunaan media sosial dalam konteks pendidikan. Dalam penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa penggunaan media sosial dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah dapat memiliki dampak positif dan negatif yang signifikan. Namun, dengan pengelolaan yang tepat dan strategi yang baik, manfaatnya dapat lebih ditingkatkan dan tantangan dapat diatasi. Penelitian ini juga memberikan beberapa rekomendasi praktis bagi para pendidik dan lembaga pendidikan dalam mengintegrasikan media sosial dalam pembelajaran di sekolah.
