Evaluasi Efektivitas Media Pembelajaran Dalam Konteks Mata Pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS)

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of learning media in the context of Social Sciences (IPS) subjects. The research method used was an experiment involving middle school students. Two groups were given learning using traditional media and interactive media. Data was analyzed using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research results show that interactive learning media significantly increases students' understanding of social studies concepts compared to traditional methods. Apart from that, students' active participation and level of learning motivation also experienced a marked increase when using interactive media. This research contributes to our understanding of the role of learning media in improving the quality of social studies learning. The practical implications emphasize the need for the integration of interactive media in social studies learning to increase student engagement and their learning outcomes.

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas media pembelajaran dalam konteks mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan melibatkan siswa-siswa sekolah menengah. Dua kelompok diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan media tradisional dan media interaktif. Data dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep-konsep IPS dibandingkan dengan metode tradisional. Selain itu, partisipasi aktif siswa dan tingkat motivasi belajar juga mengalami peningkatan yang mencolok ketika menggunakan media interaktif. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman kita tentang peran media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPS. Implikasi praktisnya menekankan perlunya integrasi media interaktif dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan hasil belajar mereka.
